I want to be on the bachelor – but not for love!

Yes, I want to be on the bachelor – but not for love!

the bachelor

We all have our guilty pleasures, right? Well when it comes to my guilty pleasure it involves a bachelor and 30 crazy beautifull women in a house. Yeah I want to be part of that clan. Don’t get me wrong it would be totally for the wrong reason. I wouldn’t be out for love. Heck no! So why do I want to desperately be apart from this crazy, tear jerking, hellofa rollercoaster show? The travelling!! The show is known for its fantastic dates on location, flying ( or helicoptering) into the most remote places visiting the best wonders of the world. Yup now that would be my cuppa tea.

I’m not a fashion blogger, heck I don’t even own a working blow-dryer ( even-tho I am a big fan of aliluvs.com, written by Ali Fedotowski a former bachelor candidate and bachelorette – turned fashion blogger). But I do like to travel so here goes. Pour a glass of wine, bring in the chocolate and lets go on this lovely journey ( no pun intended).

Don’t get me wrong , I am a happily married woman but on Monday nights a glass of wine, chocolate, tissues and awesome destinations with a half naked man, is me-time.

Villa de la Vina

This season a new Hunk is in town.. well he is not that new. I guess 4 times might just be a charm. And just like every season it all starts out in the bachelor mansion. A house that, twice a year, is rented by the bachelor franchise and completely decked out ( i.e new furniture, paint, pots & plants) for the show.

Live like a king and queen could be a motto of the Villa de la Vina or more commonly known to us as the ‘ bachelor mansion. It has 6 bedrooms ( how do they fit those boys ‘n girls? One word: BUNKBEDS), 9 bathrooms and a hellofa square feet of living space. It was once able to be rented for $2100 a night. KACHING! But hey the views are stunning….and priceless right?

Agoura Hills – wining and dining

Remember that wine I asked you to pour in? Well Agoura Hills is the right place for wine, with several vineyards and fantastic wine tasting rooms in the area you are in the perfect place. With all that wine around I am thinking a glass will quickly turn into a bottle of vino. But where to go?

1. Cornell Winery

Cornell Winery is named after the historic city of Cornell, CA. Cornell is located just 5 minutes from the 101/Kanan interchange in Agoura Hills in the Santa Monica Mountains ( yes close to the mansion).

2. DeLiese Cellars

In 2013, out of our passion for exploring fine wines, DeLiese Cellars was born. The owners a local vintner to craft our first flagship Bordeaux-style Cabernet Sauvignon, Nevaeh, with grapes from the Malibu Coast AVA.  As their passion grew so did their wine offerings and are proud to offer many fabulous red and white wines.

Places to stay

so maybe the mansion is kind of ( read completely) out of our budget but the below listed places might not be. From quirky to luxury my besty mr AIRbnb has some great listings.

Romantic Cottage in Malibu Wine Country

A cute cottage located in the heart of Malibu Wine Country, just down the road from several wine tasting rooms, and the iconic restaurant “The Old Place”! And also just a 15 minute drive through gorgeous Kanan Dume Canyon to local beaches and Point Dume in Malibu, or through Malibu Canyon to the famous Malibu Pier and Surfrider Beach.

Country Airstream

Make this happy home your own as you sample local wines, head to the beach, hike the nearby mountains, or just relax and enjoy the sunset from our new jacuzzi! The Airstream would be all yours; a self-contained home complete with kitchen, bathroom, shower, and a super comfy queen-sized bed. There are wonderful restaurants nearby, as well as Cornell Winery, a beautiful space specializing in local wines.

I must admit that the mansion does not live up to the cute cottage and or air-stream because actually…. that is more my style! But yes I can’t wait to tune in to next week’s episode and watch more of half-naked Nick and his date locations. The previews already told me they are going to one f my bucket-list locations!

That’s it for now loves.
